Business Development Executives - On Trade - South, South East

We are looking for Business Development Executives to represent our successful and growing drinks portfolio, including draught and bottled products across the On Trade, Independent Free Trade, RTM, Brewers and ideally multiple pub groups within the Midlands, South East and London areas.

Main responsibilities:

  • Actively seek new business opportunities from within the On-Trade drinks sector
  • Manage existing client relationships and ensure renewal of services
  • Always upselling and cross selling into existing accounts
  • Exceed agreed sales targets
     

Generating leads - day-to-day duties typically include:

  • Researching to identify new leads
  • Territory cold calling
  • Contacting various routes to market via email, phone or face to face meetings to establish rapport
  • Attending trade events, planning & running sampling days

Experience Required:

  • A track record of wining new business within the On -Trade sector
  • Responsible for new & existing business development across their territory
  • With great passion, knowledge and attitude the candidates will visit Pubs, Clubs, Restaurants, Farm Shops, Garden Centres in order to demonstrate, merchandise and sell the portfolio of products.

To be an effective business development executive, an individual must have:

  • Knowledge and experience of the On-Trade drinks industry and its current trends
  • The ability to handle pressure and hit targets
  • Ability to prioritise work
  • Good time management and organisation
  • Ability to build & maintain lasting relationships with customers & RTM’s
  • Pre-existing relationships within the On-Trade sector
  • Ability to sell in a portfolio of products
  • Keep outlets engaged with the brands & be creative to drive ROS
  • Good at reporting & have strong communication skills
  • Ability to set up & attend Trade Show Events
  • Ability to identify & engage key pub groups within their territory
  • Used to working in a high pressured, results driven environment
