£120 - 130 K plus benefits - Operations

We are looking for two exceptional General Managers to oversee all aspects of these excellent 5 Star hotel operations - one in Chengdu, the capital of the Sichuan province in south western China and the other in the beautiful city of Suzhou, in the south eastern Jiangsu province of East China.

The role:

Responsible of the overall management of the hotel ensuring adherence to the excellent brand standards. You will be leading the  marketing initiatives and strategies, ensuring continuing profit and growth.  You will inspire your teams to strive for results – ensuring excellence at all times.

Candidate Criteria:

  • A minimum 8-10 years experience as a General Manager in an internationally recognised luxury hotel brand or 20 years experience in a senior management role
  • Pre-opening hotel experience in China
  • Experience of the market in China market, with knowledge of the Yangtze River Delta area in particular
  • Competitive and self-motivated with experience in the luxury market
  • Ability to drive results and make decisions
  • Highly skilled in complaint and conflict resolution
  • Actively participate in the sales drive  and in establishing partner relationships
  • Excellent communication skills, public speaking, written and oral
  • Ability to coach and counsel team members on job performance
  • Ability to create and execute a business plan for the hotel, manage budgets and forecasts
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English
  • A passion for the business
  • Must be prepared to reside in China


Locations:  Chengdu and Suzhou in China


Salary:  C £120-£130 K plus benefits
