Alongside my CV detailing my experience, I would like to record my strengths as being leadership with patience, recognising that everyone has their own personality, motivations, ability and understanding, so to be a great leader you have to understand the person to be able to help them reach their potential (and targets). Honesty across the board, with myself, my staff and colleagues and also with customers, being a trusted adviser rather than a sales person out for the sale. Having held Board and Senior management roles over the last 5years, I have learnt how to be creative with strategies, bold with trying new ideas, and brave by standing by what I have created and believe in. I consider the key to a successful team is that everyone is given the time to talk, and to be heard, as the combined effort is greater than individual. Due to redundancy and temporarily working as a freelance Business Consultant it has tested my strength of character; stepping into businesses for a short period, investigating their problems, finding solutions and helping them to carry out action plans, as an outsider without authority meant I had to show honesty, integrity and know-how to build trust to carry out my recommendations.
